(via polanski)
Dear polanski. I love so much about this photograph. The styling, the eye makeup, the fantastic modernist furniture and the crazy ancient (but not too ancient) phone. I love the dual-source lighting and the way the wood grain’s lines complete the diagonal created by the daybed in the foreground, how the couch intersects that line on a perpendicular, completed by the line of the headrest. You see that? How in the center all the lines converge to focus the attention on the model? That’s some serious composition.
You now what would have made it even more awesome? If you’d taken the time to link back to some kind of source. Any kind of source. Whether it be ffffound.com, Vogue Italia, or someone’s Flickr account. That would enable someone like me to possibly find other work the photographer’s done, to see if the care and attention brought to this photograph is evident in the maker’s other work.
Try harder. Please.
Ever yours,
Greg
Dude, you are tumblr’s official credit Gestapo.
Agreed. Not giving credit or linking is so rude, and it frustrates me to no end. I’ve stopped following people because...
This is possibly my biggest blog pet peeves. I can only allow a few instances of this before I’ll unfollow someone...
